First post! Gotta start somewhere I guess!
What
you need to know is that I'm an amateur painter who's been in the hobby
for two decades. I'm a father of two and I love Blanchitsu but not as
much as I love cutting corners and using fast'n'dirty painting methods.
I've got ADD and patience isn't my virtue. At least not as far as
painting is concerned. I only paint while hyperfocusing, while making
conversions is a much easier and therefore more pleasurable activity to
engage in.
Nevertheless a miniature is only complete once painted, so I have to force myself going through with the whole process. I only paint in short bursts followed by weeks or months of accumulating emptiness and guilt.
Last year, I've added the contrast paints to my repertoire and have since been experimenting in order to find ways to use them that serve my goals and style. The glossy shades are a godsend too, as I like making grimdark conversions that have an oil-painting look to them, without the hassle of actually painting with oil based paints.
