The thing that I like most though, is painting big models. Over the years I've started paying a lot of attention to their bases, seeing them as opportunities for story-telling, in turn greatly increasing the overall dynamism of the model.
For that purpose, painting infantry models is much less of a pain, as I can overlook some details as they aren't going to be overly scrutinised.
